  • Some months ago, a working group of community members formed to build this community website. An awesome job by all involved! Special appreciation goes to Singergirl who has done a great job as administrator. With […]

    • Welcome Timber!

Thank you for taking my suggestion, Lisa. I was happy to commit to building the site framework, and get you all squared away, but thankful Timber is willing to take on the day-to-day role as we move forward.

Thank you also for the mention. If anyone wants to get a glimpse of what is going on with Web-Worldz, visit us at https://web-worldz.com or http://a2z3d.com. The last version brought us landscaping and better land builds. The upcoming release will have additional features for the user. Exciting time for Virtual Worlds…right in your browser. Let me know what you think by chatting with me inside web-worldz or visit our support desk with your experience notes or suggestions!

      Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

      • I always felt a web browser access into opensim would be the key that unlocks the gates, because the average general public doesn’t want to download, install and learn a special viewer just to take a look around, but if they can hit a web page with a browser they are in and looking around and that’s a big start!

    • Thanks so much for the welcome!
I agree, Singergirl did a fantastic job here but it is a large and somewhat complex layout, so it would take time to maintain and keep updated. I’m glad to help in that capacity and I don’t see a need to change a thing on the very nice layout and theme.
Other than updating, and fixing one minor display error, that was all I needed to take care of as I roll into position.
      Have a good holiday SIngergirl!

    • Thanks Timber!

Hope you had a wonderful holiday yourself and glad to hear the transition has been smooth!

We agree about the doorway to virtual worlds. We have some research in the works for the actual transitional doorway; but, right at this very moment can only offer instructions to the user with our Virtual World Entrance Tutorial. The tutorial covers FAQs about what to expect from a virtual world, the difference between a virtual world and a 3D Website, as well as step by step instructions to take the virtual world leap by downloading a viewer.

To get to that tutorial go to https://web-worldz.com — on the teleport directory choose EDUCATION, then Learn about Virtual Worlds. Always happy to entertain suggestions for improvement, so don’t hesitate to comment.

There is also an IMA tutorial in the works, but not yet completed (waiting on the landing grid). To get there choose ORGANIZATIONS from the teleport menu.

  • Happy Monday!

It’s been more than a year now since IMA formed and about 10 months since we went public. Have you been wondering where all the IMA activity is?

    It’s happening in web-worldz, it’s […]

  • Timber typed the answer to that question quite eloquently a month ago with “We’re new!”. So this is a place where anyone from anywhere can call for volunteers. If you need a volunteer to help you get music on yer region? There’s already one in this group that will do just that. If you need someone to test some object on yer region? There’s…[Read more]

  • Configuring my newly purchased refurbished MacPro last night I decided to change a couple of things, so to that end I ordered a solid state drive to install just the operating system and apps on while using the new WD mechanical drive for just my 1.2 TB’s worth of stuff.

I also decided to go back to running my OpenSim on a separate machine as I…[Read more]
